Some are brilliant for families who want pools, entertainment and plenty going on without leaving the resort. Others suit couples looking for somewhere quieter, while a few put you within easy walking distance of Levante Beach and Benidorm's nightlife.
We've been coming to Benidorm since the mid-1980s and still visit around three times a year. We haven't stayed at every hotel on this list, so we're not going to pretend we have. Instead, we've combined our knowledge of Benidorm and its different areas with hotel facilities and location to help you narrow down the choices.

Sandos Benidorm Suites
A lively all-inclusive option with entertainment at the heart of the holiday
Sandos Benidorm Suites is worth considering if you like your all-inclusive holiday to have plenty going on around the hotel.
The accommodation is suite-style, giving you more space than a standard hotel room, while the pool, entertainment and activities make it particularly suited to people who enjoy spending a fair amount of their holiday around the resort.
Location-wise, you're not directly on Levante beachfront, so bear that in mind if being beside the sand is your number-one priority. On the other hand, you're still within reach of Levante, bars and entertainment when you fancy heading out.

Meliá Benidorm
A large resort-style hotel with impressive pools and plenty of space to relax
Meliá Benidorm is a good choice if the hotel itself is an important part of your holiday. One of its biggest attractions is the large pool and garden area, giving it more of a resort feel than many hotels around Levante.
It's located towards the Rincón de Loix side of Benidorm, away from the busiest part of the beachfront but still within walking distance of bars, restaurants and entertainment.
This could suit couples who want somewhere comfortable to relax during the day without being completely cut off from the livelier side of Benidorm.

Magic Natura Animal, Waterpark & Polynesian Lodge Resort
A family-focused all-inclusive resort that's very different from a typical Benidorm hotel
Magic Natura is one to look at if you're travelling with children and want the resort and attractions to be a big part of the holiday.
Instead of a traditional high-rise hotel, accommodation is in Polynesian-style lodges. The resort is next to Terra Natura and Aqua Natura, giving it a completely different feel from staying around Levante or the Old Town.
The trade-off is location. You're outside central Benidorm, so this isn't the hotel we'd choose if your priority is walking out of the door and straight onto the beach or into the nightlife.
But for families who want plenty to keep the children occupied and don't mind being away from the centre, it's one of the more unusual all-inclusive options around Benidorm.

Hotel RH Princesa
A family-friendly all-inclusive option close to Benidorm Old Town
RH Princesa is worth considering if you're travelling as a family but would rather stay closer to central Benidorm than at an out-of-town resort.
The hotel has family facilities, pools and entertainment, while its location puts you within walking distance of the Old Town, shops, restaurants and the beaches.
That location is a big part of its appeal. You can enjoy the convenience of an all-inclusive hotel without feeling as though you need to spend the entire holiday inside the resort.
It's a particularly useful option if you want to combine family pool days with getting out and exploring more of Benidorm.

Port Benidorm Hotel & Spa
Our regular Benidorm stay — modern, comfortable and in a great Levante location
Port Benidorm is the hotel we know best on this list because it's where we stay most often when we're in Benidorm.
It's at the Rincón de Loix end of Levante, just a short walk from the beach and close enough to bars, restaurants and entertainment without being right in the middle of the busiest nightlife.
We particularly like the location. You can be down on Levante promenade in minutes, head towards the Strip when you want a livelier night, or simply stay around the hotel and have a more relaxed evening.
For us, it's a good balance between having plenty nearby and not feeling as though you're sleeping right on top of the nightlife.

Sol Pelícanos Ocas
A famous Benidorm hotel with huge pools and the nightlife on your doorstep
Sol Pelícanos Ocas is one of Benidorm's best-known hotels and a good option if you want to stay close to the action.
Its location puts you within easy walking distance of Levante Beach, the Strip and plenty of bars, restaurants and entertainment. The large pool area is another big attraction, particularly if you enjoy spending your days around the hotel before heading out in the evening.
This probably isn't the first hotel we'd choose if you're looking for a quiet escape. But if being close to the livelier side of Benidorm matters to you, the location is difficult to ignore.

What Does All Inclusive Mean in Benidorm?
All inclusive usually means your main meals, selected drinks and some snacks are included in the price of your stay. But don't assume every Benidorm hotel offers exactly the same thing.
What's included can vary between hotels and even between different packages at the same hotel. Premium drinks, certain restaurants, late-night snacks and some activities may cost extra.
It's worth checking the exact board details before you book, particularly if there's something important to you.
One thing we'd always consider: Benidorm has hundreds of bars, cafés and restaurants to discover. All inclusive can be great value, especially for families, but don't feel you have to stay inside the hotel just because you've already paid for your meals. Some of the best bits of Benidorm are found when you get out and explore.
Is All Inclusive Worth It in Benidorm?
It can be — but it really depends on how you plan to spend your holiday.
If you're travelling as a family, enjoy spending plenty of time around the pool or like knowing most of your food and drink is already paid for, all inclusive can make budgeting much easier.
On the other hand, if you plan to spend every day exploring Benidorm and most evenings trying different bars and restaurants, you might not get as much value from it.
We wouldn't choose a hotel purely because it's all inclusive. Location, hotel quality and the type of holiday you want matter just as much.
Our advice is simple: compare the price of all inclusive with half board or bed and breakfast. If the difference is reasonable and you know you'll use it, it could be money well spent.
Things to Check Before Booking an All Inclusive Hotel
Before you book, it's worth spending a couple of minutes checking exactly what your all-inclusive package covers. A cheap deal isn't always the best deal if the things you actually want aren't included.
Check the meal and snack times, which drinks are included, whether there are any premium supplements, and what time the all-inclusive service finishes each day.
If you're travelling with children, look at the pools, kids' clubs and entertainment. If you're coming for Benidorm's nightlife, check the hotel's location — saving £50 on the hotel might not feel like much of a bargain if you're constantly paying for taxis.
